Thomas Moore works as the firm’s legislative lobbyist at the General Assembly. He has represented many corporate clients including General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, Computer Science Corporation, Education Networks of America, Sprint, and the CompuCredit Corporation as well as municipalities and many non-profit organizations. Thomas graduated from NC State University with a degree in Public Relations and a Minor in Political Science. He attended Loyola University’s School of Law in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, a member of the moot court competition team, and an editor of the Maritime Law Review. Thomas practiced law as a trial layer for several years before coming to the firm and has handled a variety of mediations, civil trials and hearings. Thomas was a co-chair of the communications committee for the North Carolina Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. He also serves on the board of the Young Alumni Assocaiation for North Carolina State. He serves on the Knowledge Workforce Committee for NCTA, and also serves on the legislative arm of a subcommittee therein. The firm also includes Executive Assistant Cheryl Mattingly, who has worked with Edmisten for over 10 years. She is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, where she attended the University of Louisville, earning her Associate's Degree in Secretarial Sciences. Mattingly has two daughters and lives in Raleigh.
